We say it all the time. Social media is your unfiltered newsroom for information sharing. But tread carefully. Innocent mistakes can cause unintended consequences. We’ve seen it before: a student athlete flashes a gang sign in a team photo that goes unrecognized. A middle schooler’s “wardrobe malfunction” slips into a yearbook photo unnoticed. A teacher innocently uses a phrase that was commonplace when she was in school but it not acceptable today.
